National Trails Day

National Trails Day The only nationwide celebration of trails brings awareness to trails and thanks many people and partners for their support and hard work, including volunteers, land agencies and outdoor minded business. Office of Greenways and Trails celebrated National Trail day with food, good friends, and a lot of volunteers. All of the volunteers left with something, it was a great time. This was a time all the volunteers shared their trail stories with one another, perhaps another way to get all three user groups together for some fun and friendly bragging rights. Thanks to all the sponsors who donated gifts. Thanks to Office of Greenways and Trails for providing a great time. Trails West

OMBA Trails Going West There is an old saying go west young man, well OMBA'S trails are going west. The new trails will be from CR 484 to Ross Prairie Trail Head, second phase will be from Ross Prairie to Pruitt Trail head. OMBA is hoping to get started on this in October 2009. Yellow and blue trails, more of a challenge than what is on the Santos side.

The city of Tavares invited OMBA to do a *Bike Rodeo* last Saturday (May 2), during their annual Trains, Planes and BBQ event. It was a lot of fun, and a great time was had by all. Click on any picture to go to the Flickr photo album.
