What year did you start riding at Santos?: 2011
Hello. My name is Charles Fox. I recently bought a mountain bike and haven't used it much for off road. I am looking to get off the paved trails and get in the woods. Any advice for a new person. I was noticing on the OMBA calendar that there are some afternoon rides next week that I might be able to get to. Are some groups better for beginners than others. I am really looking forward to getting off road with my bike.

Thanks,
Charles Fox

From my experience riding with groups at Santo's, you'll have a great time with any group you ride with. Everyone I've met has been very friendly and everyone always waits at trail crossings to make sure no one is left behind. First time I rode out at Santo's I had only rode off-road a couple times around my house and I got along well. Rode with some excellent riders too! Get out there and have some fun!

Greenway Bicycles does a Wednesday ride that leaves the parking lot at 630pm. There is usually a group that does advanced trails and onr that does the basic trails, each group has a designated leader so no worry about getting lost.

If you decide to come by we usually start meeting at the trail head parking lot around 6pm, my name's Matt, I ride a blue Pivot and will be wearing a Greenway Bicyles jersey. I can get you going with the correct group.

Fair warning though, it's addictive!!!
