The Kona 12 Hours of Santos was held this past Saturday, Feb. 16th on the Vortex side of the trail system (down in the canyon). The turnout was fantastic. The event was on the on the USAC pro endurance calendar and attracted many talented in state and out of state professionals.
As you may know, Razorback park was closed last year and as a result of that, Dave Berger of Gone Riding chose Santos as the new location for this very popular event. There were over 400 racers entered!! OMBA volunteers stepped up to the plate to assist Gone Riding with race day assistance and responsibilities. A big thank you to the following people for helping out Saturday: Gary Hoel, Joan Bernat, Paul Klawunn, Peter Crowell & friend Gail, Lori, EJ, Hal, Dave and Julianne North.
