OMBA'S next bike patrol class will be held January 26, 2008. The class will consist of CPR, First Aid, IMBA training, and a possible ride afterwards.

What is a Mountain Bike Patroller? That question has been asked many times. An OMBA Mountain Bike Patroller acts as the eyes and ears to the Office of Greenways and Trails. Being a patroller requires a commitment of your time and energy. Most of all it requires you to ride your mountain bike on the Santos Trails, a trail system that will have you coming back for more.

The volunteer mountain bike patroller will provide assistance to hikers, bikers, and equestrians. They give information, provide directions, help in minor bicycle repairs and administer First Aid and CPR when required.

Our goal is to combine lessons in personal responsibility, achievement and environmental awareness through development of practical skills and the simple act of having fun.

If you are interested in becoming a patroller for OMBA, please go to the bike patrol page and fill out the form or email me.
